Toshiro Mifune Restaurant Opening!
09/06/29 10:47 Filed in: event | food and
drink
Friday June 26th 2009, was the Opening Reception of the Japanese film legend
Toshiro Mifune. Although he has passed away the restaurant is being run by his family
is located in Tokyo (Roppongi) and is called Mifune.
The Entrance had a cool Toshiro mifune artwork.
The guy who is on his knees takes care of the guests shoes.
Film clip artwork in the restroom.
That night we dined on various large kushiyaki, edamame and assorted dishes.
Kushiyaki is the specialty of the restaurant.
The decor was old school traditional japanese, similar to many of the sets of
some of Toshiro Mifune’s well known films. The food and the vibe was very
“otoko poi” (manly) just as Mr. Mifune is portrayed and remembered in his films.

Something I have always
been meaning to say.
To all you so-called media people What’s with all this Jacko stuff !
Who is Jacko ?
That is extremely disrespectful especially at the time of his passing,
to refer to Mr. Michael Jackson in that way.
Although you chose to call him something other than his name.
don’t get it confused, WE were never in on it with you.
I think I can safely say I speak for THE community
when I say that although we didn’t always understand or agree with him, he always was and
always will be our brother, and we will always love him.

Mister Jackson
Thank
YOU!
For all those many musical jewels you have created and left with us. Thank you
for all the memories we have had to your music and all the memories we will
have in the future.
The KING will always live !
Thank you, Michael Jackson.

A dream come true
A
dream comes true, well at least half of the dream.
Today (6-20-2009) I attended the Tokyo Special Import Car Show.
I was supposed to go yesterday but I didn’t have the energy after the intense business of last week.
That night I went to dinner with some of the staff of LUSSW magazine and I was introduced to
Mr. Shikata of S-Company. By coincidence the Car Show came up in the dinner conversation, and
I started talking about the T-Rex. Then Mr Shikata asked me if I wanted to ride in the T-Rex... Wha..., YES!!
As it turns out he was visiting from Kobe for the Tokyo Special Import Car Show, and was friends of the Company
that is importing the T-Rex to Japan.
Thanks to Mr. Shikata and the hospitality of the guys at Obayashi Factory,
I get set-up for my first ride in a T-Rex!
Now this ain’t your regular family car seatbelt .
Yo you know what to do right,...? give me the SPECIAL.
If you look close you can see me in the mirror.
Coming back to the starting point.
This is what it sounds like.
AAAAhhh! Man!! that was nice!! (after ,my ride)
Let me visualize the second half of my dream coming true,
me with my own very sexy T-Rex, driving all over Tokyo,.. I can see it.
T-Rex, getting some photo love inside at the show venue Tokyo Big Sight.
Looking forward to the day I will posting photos of my T-Rex to my blog.

I was walking on Omotesando street in Aoyama and was
surprised by
your not so average window dislplay. So you know I had to stop.
I think it was a Panasonic home appliance promotion.

I recently finished teaching a special course at the
Vantan Design Institute to
students studying to be hair/makeup
artist. In my course the students learn about and and experience the actual photo shoot situation. They learn
communication techniques with Western Models and location staff. It was my first time to teach in a school and
was also a special experience for me as well. The students studied hard and I did my best to teach them.
At the end of the last class they all signed this message card for me, ...NICE.
I was happy.
